Bio
Rachel Gross is a Bay Area freelance journalist interested in matters of the mind, the body, the earth and the taste buds. She has written news stories, features and blog posts for publications including The New York Times Bay Area, Forbes Magazine and her college newspaper, The Daily Californian, where she served as University News Editor and the Research & Ideas Beat Reporter during her sophomore year. She has also taught a student-led course on investigative journalism and interned with the CBS Evening News National Bureau in Los Angeles. Currently, she freelances and does research, reporting and fact-checking as an editorial intern at California Magazine in Berkeley.
When not running around with a notebook and camera, Rachel enjoys novels, large doses of caffeine, slam poetry, experimenting in the kitchen, and oxford commas.
